Our Founder
Bryan grew up in Southern California and began his career serving in the United States Army, where he was selected for the elite 75th Ranger Regiment, part of U.S. Special Operations Command.
After four years of military service, he became a police officer in Washington State, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Washington with honors. Following sixteen years in law enforcement, he retired to attend the University of Idaho College of Law, earning a place on the Dean’s List each semester and graduating in 2015.
Since beginning the practice of law, he has achieved the following:
- Practiced privately before joining the Boise City Attorney’s Office.
- Served as one of the primary legal advisors for the Boise Police Department.
- Advised officers and command staff on criminal law and procedure, employment law, and Internal Affairs matters, drafted contracts, and handled public records requests.
- Taught the legal portion of the Basic Law Enforcement Academy.
- Assisted in developing the statewide legal curriculum for all Idaho police officers.
- Served as primary legal advisor for the City of Boise on drone law.
- Published a national article on drone law and has spoken at conferences.
- Returned to private practice in 2023 to serve families in Meridian and the surrounding area.
Bryan has been married to his wife, Patty, for thirty years. They have five children and two grandchildren and remain active in community service through their church. In 2018, Bryan was recognized as a Leader in Law by the Idaho Business Review. His combination of military service, law enforcement experience, and extensive legal practice informs the steady, practical, and supportive approach that defines Liberty Law Idaho today.
